When it's a 1-2ft swell and rising? [surf.co.nz] Is the fact that it's offshore at the moment? Or is it a locals only thing? Maybe it's some kind of subliminal messaging? Maybe it's just some kind of karma thing telling that you should wait for another day to go out?

who knows? one things for sure, after looking at those cams i'd be going somewhere further afield that usually has a good wave at that size.
interesting that it says 1.5-2ft is thigh to waist high. i gather this means that most peeps at piha are about 4 ft tall?

Another example of aucklanders being unable to look past the bombay hills? All the report pages have that text.

Some could say it's because Piha is shiet.

But seriously, it's related to the website problems the site has been experiencing for the last few days.

my legs are quite sore from the surf yesterday it was quite small but super long waves with only a couple of people out mostly locals sea breeze kicked in about 3 turning it to mud and so I enjoyed watching all the after work crew race down whilst having a beer and dinner on the deck

Ever heard of jandals Jabes? Also nobody should go to Bethells or O'neills, they're a complete myth!
