yeah did wonder about asp with epo as when asked about steroids they all claim no point in building more muscle and getting heavier. but sure would help with having 4 heats in a day a bit of fresh blood in the system

Lance deserves everything he gets for being a drug cheat.

But the other problem is that most of the competitors were doing drugs too, so was it an even playing field or not? I think Lance was the best rider out of a bunch of drug cheats all using the same performance enhancing stuff.

Dirty sports cheats can GTFO!

It might have been Nico Padaratz. He claimed it was for a ruptured disk which had put him out of the water for 1 year. cortisone shot which was widely used for sports injuries. No wonder he fu<ked his back, was dam crazy reckless charger.

I think he may have been set up to divert attention away from higher profile lollie swollowers.

I read that if they strip all Armstrongs medals from him, (all of them) there are just 2 other people who made podium finishes in all that time with him that have not been done for doping.

With or without doping those athletes put their bodies under amazing stress. Far be it from me to get on my high horse and criticise from the comfort of my couch.

I reckon there are heaps of druggies in Rugby League...they're a bit more pretentious than union players. Plus the party scene in Australia is crazy and those boofheads love it.

Rugby Union, maybe not so much of the hard stuff here in NZ but maybe in Europe where they get paid the big bucks? I reckon a lot of the Pacific Island/Maori players would be weed smokers, especially in the provinces and lower grades.

Smoking weed in rugby does go on in the social grades. At prem levels it drug use is very anti or at least well hidden.

Pro players wouldn't touch the stuff and are trained by the media people to not even be within a photos range of anything dodgy.

That's why they are "professional" they're not payed to for the 80 min they play play. They're payed for the other 10,000 min in the week where they are expected to eat, breath and sleep in preparation for the weekend. The game they do for fun.

They don't seem to be too concerned about getting pis sed though. Go figure.

Agreed low key, but isn't there someone quite recently that had a poppy seed bun and had traces of morphine in them? I could be confused with police ten7, but pretty sure I saw this some where. May have been in Whanganui. Lol

I got a 'not negative' on my drug test last year. One piece of toast that had poppy seed. Took some sweet talking to the nurse about how she wrote it down

Lance may be a waynekerr but how else do you get to the top? Still the best by far on that high performance plateau where they are all riddled with needles. He's gonna owe big money for the defamation settlement

Its a positive for opiates not heroine. The amount you have to eat for a positive is high, non negative at work?

Triathlete lost NZ long distance title for a positive couple years back and said poppy seeds.

Cycling is dirty, read a few of the books out there, the tour has never been clean, speed and coke since the beginning and its only got worse. If tour riders getting away with it so are one day racers. Lance didnt get away with it thankfully but 1000s are, even clean green NZ riders are at it.

It does beg the question though...with the advent of AI's death due to drugs...why doesn't testing take place? I guess you'd be mad not to use performance enhancing drugs in surfing. Someone should ask the question of Kelly.

I once took a trip before a surf. I wouldn't say it was performance enhancing. It was certainly experience enhancing.
