I am still not 100% clear on what a hipster is...and whether that is a hipster comment.

However as an analogy for Lewis Samuels let me say that eating steak all the time is great- but only to a a point, a varied diet is more interesting and better for you.... surfing and watersports are the same- mix it up dont be afraid to sart again on something new.

More boards the better
I surf a 9,1 in gutless waist to shoulder high also sometimes in bigger overhead point breaks just to get back to feeling out that perfect trim line.

6'4 in smallish waist high, but also overhead points. Fun challenge putting the grovel under its maximum angles and pressure through turns. margine of error is rather tight.

Step up is prob the least versitile,

Far be it for me to throw the first hipster stone, but if I'm not mistaken Jabes was awarded the 2012 Hipster award.

Going to a job interview barefoot does seem to be a calculated action designed to set u apart from the shoe wearing masses as a rugged individualist and hints at an overawareness of ur own image....but what do I know

For the vast majority of the time during which I've been making boards my designs have not been trendy, in fact they have been shunned.

I note however that they have now become hip according to yourself and jabes... that is great news indeed.

Bare footedness does not imply over awareness of one's own image, it implies merely that one is not wearing shoes.

Hence why you are a hipster. You embrace the unconventional. I was recently in Hipster central and you would have been a god to them Roy. A god.

I embrace that which works for me, whether it is unconventional or not. A consequence of seeking a design and performance advantage and gaining it is however unconventional equipment, that is inevitable. it's the advantage itself which I'm after though, not the appearance.

Hipsters embrace small mass market fashion trends thinking that it will make them appear to be individuals ... even if performance suffers.

He's so old that he's already had a hip replacement.

Warm asphalt on a sunny winter's morning.

you wear shoes on the beach?

8. Chewing gum

You can't chew gum and walk at the same time?

9.Glass ripping open foot = no surf for a week.

Look where you are walking instead of treating your legs like a golf cart.

10. junkie needles= no surf

I've never seen one, is this related to getting 'in for a beer' ?
