No secret that Brazilians are passionate sports people and claiming is almost a part of their repertoire of manoeuvres.
Julian Wilson double claim on his final wave at Portugal. Must have helped him get the score he needed. Has it gone too far?

Kinda good to see him actually care so much. Looked a bit crytime though. Apparently his step dad was chucking chairs around in a rage haha.

Medina is still only 18 or 19? Still young enough to get away with it. Kolohe Andino also threw his toys out of the cot in a tantrum at the Fiji.
I think it would be cool to see the other WCT junior John John win the title.
I remember seeing the King a broken man crying into the shower at Pipe when he lost a close battle for the title with AI.

Parko is definitely worthy and has been so close. Kelly is still swinging, still intimidates them all.

They have been taught to by some judges out there, cause they give their score a fraction of a point more if they see a solid claim. I see it in boogieboarding now as well.

Parkos turn this year! Medina was robbed but his attitude after the comp is why he was robbed. Good on him for being competitive and emotional but being a brat will not win friends.

I think that when kids get good they should separate their parents from the management of them, parents are to egotistical and emotionally attached.

You have a point Boss, I read an article in Surfer about Kolohe’s relationship with his dad. Emotionally charged and toxic. They got Mike Parsons in to take over his coaching.

Kid looks like he’s over coached and sterile at times, might need to take leaf out of Wilco’s book and free up a bit.

Meanwhile jj florence is the only one of the young guys on tour who could actually still win it. If pipe is big it's hard to see him not winning it.

There's zero chance that parko will win the triple crown.

Yeah I'll be stoked if Parko wins he's been rippin the bag all year then just seems to loose it in the finals but as for Gabriel people say hes acting like a kid he IS a kid ffs and thats not the first time hes been ripped and i reckon half the reason the judges gave Julian the score is cos HES an attrocious dummy spitter I wouldve given im a 4 for his first wave and 6.5 for his second

Fark i dont know about that Snap Parko always goes good when its heaving good to see JJF up there too btw not much wave action here lately gettin a bit cabin feverish...

Zero chance snap? I think he is always a contender. Lets see triple time triple crown winner 08, 09, 10. That's pretty bloody impressive! Only Sunny has gone back to back 3 times, Kelly's only won 2. Parko's style suits Hawaii and the judges love his surfing there.

Each individual judge uses a scale with 100 increments, it only goes to two decimal places when scores are averaged.

top 4 must be p!ssed with that crap dished up this morning.

Competition surfing is generally boring IMO and has very little to do with the act of surfing that I enjoy, rather watch rugby, or some kook trimming along a perfect indo wave, more realistic and achievable.

Most professional surfers seem to the maturity of 12year olds and highly inflated egos.
