There is a breed of 09 surfer who cowers like a whipped chuihuahua at the thought of righteous west coast power but froths like a 4 year old girl given her first 'my little pony' when the mere sniff of a 1 ft swell at Orewa is mentioned.
These surfers (and we all know a few) are the limp wristed shirt lifters of the NZ surfing heirachy.

we get small waves out east, unless you live in gizzy. Everyone forgets about that swell magnet. here at home its crap small stuff most of the time but least it has some shape...sometimes lol
as you are a member of sub 1000 we will give you a special dispensation also your more north coast than east!

its true i was thinking Gissy/cape and dunedin should have a special dispensation but then got lazy so didnt bother with all the red tape

Link was more about east having a bit of punch(now and then haha). Napes is actually from Napier hence the nickname and Napier last time I checked was on the East Coast.

gizzy town alone jabes... had 98 national tittles in 51 years before the 2013 champs so as they say east coast has the most hmm but not the power of the west coast lol
